The Jinyi Lake Sci-tech Hub in Jinyi district, Jinhua, Zhejiang province was recently unveiled.

The hub, which cost 6.19 billion yuan ($855.53 million) to build, undertakes functions such as scientific and technological innovation research and development, higher education incubation, and intelligent manufacturing.

The hub is home to an array of scientific and technological platforms including the Jinhua Institute of Zhejiang University and the Zhejiang Chinese Medical University Jinhua Research Institute.

Authorities have also leveraged its natural resources, including hills, waters, forests and lakes, to build support facilities such as a park and an electric surfing experience, as well as other aquatic sports facilities to improve the working environment.

The export volume of foreign trade enterprises reached 2.63 billion yuan over the same period, an 11.07 percent increase year-on-year.
