Yiwu Bonded Logistics Center off to strong start in Q1

The imports of Yiwu Bonded Logistics Center in Yiwu, Jinhua, Zhejiang province reached 2.48 billion yuan ($342.44 million) in the first quarter of this year, an 11.42-percent year-on-year increase and a record high during the period, as reported by local media on April 10.

Xu Mina, an employee of Kaichang Logistics Co, said that the center saw an average of 25,000 daily shipments in the first quarter, with beauty products constituting 60 percent of the total.

Xu noted significant demand for imported beauty products, particularly those focused on moisturizing, hydration, and sun protection as the season transitions from spring to summer.

Liu Xiangchuan, a representative of Yiwu Ouyi Supply Chain Management Co, said that the average daily shipment volume ranged from 10,000 to 12,000 orders, with the receipt of 10 containers monthly.

Health products experienced the fastest growth, with sales volume increasing by 30 percent year-on-year.
