The 9th Fairy Tale Conference, also known as the International Children's Literature Communication Carnival, commenced in Wuyi county, Jinhua, Zhejiang province on April 20.

Storytellers, editors, scholars, and enthusiasts of children's literature from across the country convened at the event.

During the opening ceremony, Yin Jianling, deputy director of the Chinese Children's Literature Research Association, delivered a speech, acknowledging and commending Wuyi's remarkable efforts and achievements in the field of children's literature. As a token of recognition, he presented Wuyi with a plaque recognizing the county as a "Children's Literature Research and Creation Base."

Cao Jinxun, deputy mayor of Wuyi, emphasized that Wuyi is evolving into a fertile ground for the creation of children's literature and expressed hope that individuals from all walks of life can collaborate to support the global dissemination of fairy tales.

The event featured a series of activities, including the final round of a fairy tale creation competition and lectures by renowned authors, aimed at promoting the international dissemination and exchange of children's literature and supporting the international trade of children's literature products.

Moreover, the unveiling of the Children's Literature International Communication Base was a significant highlight. The base will serve as a first-class, distinctive international exchange base for public culture in China.
