During the May Day holiday, Jinhua in East China's Zhejiang province experienced a significant boost in inbound tourism, attracting 13,000 international tourists who stayed overnight in the city, with a 24.31 percent year-on-year increase.

This surge is attributed to favorable policies like the 240-hour visa-free transit, making "China Travel" increasingly popular. In Jinhua, Yiwu and Dongyang's Hengdian town, both part of Zhejiang's innovative inbound tourism pilot areas, are making the most of this trend.

On May 4, 34 Vietnamese tourists visited Hengdian World Studios in Hengdian town, the largest film and television production site in China, for an immersive experience. Tour guide Tang Liping noted that China's increasing film and television exports have become a new magnet for inbound tourism.

With rich cultural content and diverse cross-cultural expressions, more international tourists are coming to Hengdian World Studios. The site's transformation from a cursory tour to an immersive film experience is proving popular, with nearly 1,000 international tourists visiting during the May Day period.

Known as the "World's Supermarket", Yiwu's new "tourism + shopping" model is leading a fresh wave of cultural and tourism consumption, further boosted by visa-free policies and in-store tax refund.

According to data from the Yiwu public security bureau's exit-entry administration, over 30,000 international business travelers currently stay in Yiwu, representing a 13.4 percent year-on-year rise.
