The 10th Session of Jinhua Homestay and 2025 Chinese Bridge Doolittle Raid Summer Camp in Jinhua, kicked on in Tantou village of Wuyi county in Jinhua city of East China's Zhejiang province on June 10 with a view to enhancing friendship between China and the United States.

The Jinhua Homestay Project is a distinct international exchange brand of Jinhua. This year, 60 teachers and students from five states in the US were invited to participate in a six-day cultural tour of the city.

During the opening ceremony, Liu Jianqing, deputy director of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education recollected the historic "Doolittle Raid" where American pilots crash-landed on the Chinese coast over 80 years ago.

Liu said that the summer camp aims to use the "Doolittle Raid" as a bond forged in blood and fire between the peoples of China and the US, allowing more young Americans to personally experience the natural beauty, language, and culture of China and pass on the torch of Sino-US friendship.

Xing Huidong, vice-chairman of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, expressed hope that the young Americans would take home their experiences in China and become advocates, contributors and promoters of friendly Sino-US exchanges.

Zhu Chonglie, Jinhua's Party secretary, emphasized that the foundation of China-US relations lies in the people. He expressed the city's willingness to continue the friendship forged through the "Doolittle Raid", and enhance people-to-people interactions, especially among youth.
