The Zhejiang International E-Commerce Expo 2025 took place in Yiwu, a county-level city in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, from June 21 to 23.
The expo featured 2,200 booths across more than 50,000 square meters, with eight specialized zones focusing on areas such as rural e-commerce, live streaming, technologies, and innovative products.
The event drew 1,182 enterprises from 24 provinces, along with buyers from the United States, India, Singapore, and other regions, all seeking partnerships, product sourcing, and insights into advanced digital trade solutions.
Yiwu, recognized as China's top county by e-commerce strength and a key logistics hub along the Belt and Road, has cemented its status as an epicenter of booming cross-border e-commerce. Major cross-border e-commerce platforms like Amazon, TikTok, Shein, Lazada, and Temu have established operations here, supporting nearly 300,000 businesses aiming for overseas expansion.
From January to May, Yiwu recorded 73.645 billion yuan ($10.25 billion) in cross-border e-commerce transactions, marking a 16.29 percent increase compared to the previous year.
To accelerate market penetration, organizers invited buyer delegations from Belt and Road countries, including Ethiopia, Pakistan, and Nigeria, while integrating live streaming platforms and MCN agencies to present premium goods to customers all over the world.
In Yiwu, nearly 30,000 merchants use AI tools to help secure orders and expand markets. At the expo, visitors had access to these cutting-edge tech applications, including AI technologies, digital marketing, VR, and AR.
