A media delegation from Sabah, Malaysia, visited Jinhua Mountain in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, on Sept 4 and 5 to explore its unique landscapes, profound cultural heritage, and vibrant tourism offerings.
The group took in the academic atmosphere at the Lutian Academy, experienced the tai chi sword at the Huangdaxian Temple, and appreciated stalactites and stalagmites in the Shuanglong Cave.
Chen Yusi from Sin Chew Daily is of Chinese descent and has a strong interest in traditional Chinese culture. She expressed her admiration when seeing the list of 915 jinshi — the highest and final degree in the imperial examination in ancient times — on the wall, saying Jinhua was remarkable to nurture so much talent.
Huang Qianjun from Overseas Chinese Daily News said that she only knew the renowned Jinhua ham before, but now Jinhua has surprised her with its blend of tradition and modernity.
She highlighted the "Chill in Jinhua" Market in Luodian town, noting that it reflected local vitality and drove the neighboring commerce.
Emerging attractions also captivated delegates, including Lulu Park, the Dland Little Iceland, and the Sky Mirror viewing platform, which inspired the journalists to write articles to introduce more Malaysians to Jinhua.
