A batch of 100 kilograms of fresh strawberries from Pujiang county in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, was delivered to customers in Singapore on Feb 11. It was transported via a direct flight from Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport.

This marks the first batch of fresh strawberry exports from the province this year.

The strawberries, sourced from the Pujiang Xiaoguo'er Family Farm, include premium varieties such as Yuexiu and Suizhu. These strawberries are noted for their plumpness, juiciness, and rich flavor.

"From picking to packaging, and then being transported on a direct flight to the local market, it takes less than a day for the strawberries to reach supermarket shelves in Singapore," said the head of the farm.

The exported strawberries were pollinated naturally by bees, ensuring high product quality. The Yuexiu variety, in particular, offers a high level of sweetness and a unique milky aroma, firmly establishing it as a favorite among local consumers.

In recent years, Pujiang's strawberries have received positive feedback from the Singapore market. According to a representative from the Pujiang county agriculture and rural affairs bureau, plans are afoot to enhance planting techniques, improve cold chain logistics, and optimize export services.
