A film industry delegation from Colombia, led by the Colombian Ambassador to China Sergio Cabrera, visited Hengdian World Studios in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, on March 21 and 22, exploring the film production base and immersing themselves in China's film and cultural tourism ecosystem.

The delegation included key figures from Colombia's film creation, broadcasting and television, and industry institutions, covering film production, distribution, and copyright operations — representing a significant cross-section of Colombia's film industry.

During their visit, the delegation members toured core filming areas, including the Chinese Culture Park and the Qing Ming Shang He Tu filming base, learning about Hengdian's scene construction, facility development, and filming process management.

The members praised Hengdian's comprehensive industry support, efficient production systems, abundant filming resources, and its model of integrating culture and tourism.

Alejandro Linares Camberos, director of Colombia's national television Canal 13, said the visit gave them an insight into China's audiovisual production expertise. Sergio Cabrera, also a renowned film director, expressed hope to co-produce a film between China and Colombia, fostering closer ties and mutual understanding.

As an important filming hub in China, Hengdian has established cooperation with many countries and regions. With Chinese films increasingly gaining influence in Latin America, this visit marks an important opportunity for Sino-Latin American film industry exchanges, paving the way for Chinese films to enter the Spanish-speaking market.
