Companies in Wucheng district are accelerating their push into overseas markets, backed by proactive policies and targeted government support.

At a factory run by Jinhua Tianpu Furniture Co, production lines are operating at full capacity. Workers are busy cutting, bending, welding and coating as ergonomic desks and chairs roll off the line, ready for shipment to Europe and the United States. The company specializes in ergonomic education furniture, which is exported to markets including the United Kingdom, the US, Australia and the Middle East.

The firm had annual sales exceeding 30 million yuan ($4.35 million) last year and currently has a full order book. It maintains decade-strong partnership with leading UK suppliers and previously provided functional desks for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Nearby, Jinhua Bezos Outdoor Equipment Co is also seeing strong demand. Its rooftop tents and vehicle storage products are in high demand across North America and Europe, with overseas sales accounting for up to 80 percent of the total. From a small workshop in 2015, the company has grown into a business with annual output exceeding 60 million yuan, supported by over 100 patents in rooftop tent technology.

To support such growth, Wucheng has rolled out targeted measures, including market expansion programs and cross-border e-commerce initiatives. By strengthening cooperation with global platforms like Amazon, the district aims to boost trade connectivity and help more local firms compete overseas.
