Young innovators from across the globe gathered in Yiwu on March 26 and 27 for the "Touch Zhejiang, Walk China" program, exploring business opportunities in one of the world's largest trading hubs.

Participants from countries including Egypt, South Korea, Nigeria and Kyrgyzstan visited Yiwu International Trade Market, where they examined procurement models, product design and evolving consumer trends. Many engaged directly with local merchants, gaining first-hand insights into how Chinese manufacturing connects with global markets.

The group also toured companies such as Huahong Art Home Co, where discussions led to a cooperation agreement on exporting home furnishing products to Central Asia.

Beyond traditional trade, participants visited Yiwu's digital trade centers, new energy product markets and import commodity hubs, experiencing the city's expanding innovation ecosystem. Cultural creativity also stood out, with local firms blending traditional Chinese elements into modern product design.

Organizers said the event aims to provide international entrepreneurs with a closer look at Zhejiang's industrial vitality while fostering cross-border collaboration.

For many participants, Yiwu not only lived up to its reputation as a "world supermarket", but also showed itself to be a dynamic platform linking global demand with China's supply chain.
