The X8074 train, connecting Yiwu in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, and Moscow in Russia, departed from Yiwuxi Railway Station on April 17.
This train, carrying 110 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of daily goods, is expected to reach Bely Rast Station in Moscow in just 15 days, improving transit efficiency over regular China-Europe freight services.
Jointly organized by China Railway Container Transport and Yiwu Timex Industrial Investment — operator of the China-Europe freight trains — the new service leverages Jinhua (Yiwu) and Moscow China-Europe Express Railway Assembly Centers to create a new model connecting the two centers and ensuring more efficient coordination.
The Moscow Assembly Center, operational since last December, is located at the Bely Rast Logistics Center, a major Sino-Russian logistics project. With an annual capacity of 720,000 TEUs and strategic locations near Bely Rast Station and many highways, the logistics center offers advantages for exports from Zhejiang and the Yangtze River Delta region.
The Jinhua (Yiwu) Center, established in January 2025, benefits from its location in the world's largest hub for small commodities. Since its first run in 2016, the China-Europe train service from Yiwu to Russia has consistently improved in stability and speed, meeting demands for efficient cross-border transport.
The Yiwu-Moscow train optimizes the Zhejiang China-Europe train service, enhancing transport efficiency and providing competitive logistics solutions for China-Russia trade.
