Jinhua in East China's Zhejiang province has received its international port code, CNJHA, from the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business. The code, with "CN" representing China and "JHA" denoting Jinhua, gives the city an official "ID" in global trade, marking its entry into the international trade and transportation system as both an origin and destination port.

The United Nations Code for Trade and Transport Locations, shortened to UN/LOCODE, is a standard coding system used to identify locations worldwide for trade and transport purposes. Each city can receive one port code, a key credential for integrating into the global trade network.

Jinhua has long leveraged its inland location to advance the development of its international land port, improving logistics and invigorating its foreign trade economy. The port code is expected to inject new momentum into its open economy.

This development will provide Jinhua's foreign trade enterprises with a more efficient global platform and accelerate the flow of people, goods, capital, and information in Jinhua, reinforcing its role as an inland open hub.
