Metal sculptures from Yongkang in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, stood out at the 14th China (Zhejiang) Arts and Crafts Expo, held in Lishui from April 24 to 26.

In the concurrent 2026 Zhejiang Arts and Crafts Creation Competition, works submitted by the Yongkang Arts and Crafts Association won 21 gold, 21 silver, and 26 bronze awards, setting a new record.

"We organized 28 member enterprises to participate in this expo and established a dedicated exhibition area, showcasing 123 representative metal sculpture artworks," said Cheng Yuquan, president of the Yongkang Arts and Crafts Association.

The expo is Zhejiang's largest arts and crafts event, highlighting the integration of traditional skills with modern technology and promoting the inheritance and quality development of historical classic industries.

Yongkang metal sculpture, a provincial historical classic industry, displayed masterpieces across six categories: gold and silver carving, copper carving, tin carving, iron art, and scale-making, further enhancing Yongkang's reputation as the "World Hardware Capital".

According to the Yongkang bureau of economy and information technology, three metal sculpture studios have been selected as provincial inheritance and innovation studios, injecting vitality and confidence into the industry's future.
