Yiwu International Trade Market in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, opens its doors at 8:30 am every day, with the Yiwu International Trade Service Center on the first floor welcoming its first visitors. This specialized service hall is a testament to Yiwu's 20-year evolution in government service.
The Yiwu 365 Convenience Service Center was founded in 2002, initially bringing together 28 departments managing 160 types of approvals and services.
In 2012, through trade reform policies, Yiwu established China's first international trade service center by integrating 14 foreign-related departments and four social service agencies. The center moved to the International Trade Market in 2014, bringing services closer to merchants.
With over 1.26 million business entities now in Yiwu, the demand for foreign-related services has skyrocketed, with the center processing over 10,000 cases daily.
The center has streamlined its windows from 324 to 50, achieving "one-stop" processing. Service points now cover all towns and communities, with 37 enterprise service stations and 23 foreign-related service stations in associations and communities with many foreign residents.
To overcome communication barriers, a team of foreign volunteers has been established in the center. Feng Shuiping, deputy director of the Yiwu government services management office, highlighted that the volunteers have helped resolve over 1,000 issues related to entrepreneurship and visas.
Yiwu keeps refining its international governance and enhancing service professionalism to facilitate expats working and living in the city.
