Over 80 companies from Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, and Russia gathered at a trade conference held in Moscow on May 27, where agreements were signed on six significant projects between the two sides.

MeritLink Group, a leader in the hardware tool industry, has been strengthening its ties with the Russian market but traditionally relied on agents, limiting export growth.

"Russian agents face inventory and financial challenges, while Chinese factories lack branding, channels, and after-sales services in Russia. Both sides need a comprehensive service platform," said Xu Chenyu, general manager of MeritLink's Russia Regional Service Center, one of the six projects.

This center offers integrated services like warehousing, shared showrooms and offices, and local support to help Chinese factories establish their brands in Russia more efficiently.

Zhejiang Pujiang Mr HuoLang Trade teamed up with Russia's Kievskaya Square Group to launch its overseas exhibition center. "We see significant potential in the Russian market and aim to enhance our brand influence there," said Chairman Zhou Jianqiao.

Jinhua's robust manufacturing complements Russia's resource-rich market. Last year, Jinhua saw trade with Russia reach 32.14 billion yuan ($4.74 billion), a 38.8 percent increase year-on-year. The Moscow logistics hub of Zhejiang China-Europe Railway Express, which began operating last year, has created an efficient logistics loop, boosting cross-border trade.
