The 2026 Global Digital Trade Center E-Commerce Conference was held on June 30 in Yiwu, a county-level city in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, attracting 20 leading e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, Shein, and Temu.

Zhejiang China Commodities City Group, in collaboration with these platforms, launched a plan to offer exclusive support policies and a range of overseas solutions, including full management, semi-management, and self-operation models tailored for Yiwu merchants.

In the first five months of this year, Yiwu's cross-border e-commerce transactions reached 81.18 billion yuan ($11.95 billion), up 10.23 percent year-on-year, with over 40 percent of Yiwu's 860,000 e-commerce entities engaged in cross-border trade. This promising market has drawn major e-commerce players to Yiwu, bringing innovative strategies and models.

Yiwu's robust supply chain and logistics advantages have also attracted e-commerce platforms to establish local facilities, such as regional service centers and consolidation warehouses.

Wildberries, a leading Russian online retailer, has established an industrial incubation base and a consolidation warehouse in Yiwu. Wang Fei, who is responsible for Wildberries' investment promotion and operations in China, has announced monthly training sessions for Yiwu merchants from this June to January 2027, along with preferential policies to boost merchant participation.

"I've struggled with cross-border e-commerce due to marketing challenges," said Sun Lijuan, a merchant at Yiwu International Trade Market. "Seeing these tailored policies from leading platforms boosts my confidence."
