The offline final of the 20th National College Student Culture and Tourism and Exhibition Competition Zhejiang Provincial Round has concluded in Pujiang county, Jinhua, Zhejiang province.
Thirty-nine teams from 10 universities took part, with over 100 participants presenting creative proposals based on Pujiang's cultural tourism resources.
The teams focused on Shangshan culture, the local grape industry, calligraphy and painting culture, and rural tourism. Examples of the creativity of young people include a lapel pin inspired by a 10,000-year-old grain of rice, an incense holder transformed from a stone mill, and a projection lamp using Shangshan patterns as the basis.
The competition made Shangshan culture accessible to ordinary people and more popular among young people.
Named after the Shangshan site in Pujiang, Shangshan culture dates back 8,500 to 11,000 years. It is linked to the origins of rice agriculture, early painted pottery, and settled village life in East Asia.
The event was tailored to Pujiang's actual needs after in-depth research and communication with local cultural tourism departments, with five gold, 15 silver, and 19 bronze prizes awarded.
