The 2021 World Young Scientist Summit will be staged in mid-November in Wenzhou city, located in East China's Zhejiang province.

Co-sponsored by the China Association for Science and Technology and the Zhejiang provincial government, the summit themed on "Converging the World's Talents, Creating a Better Future" will include 30 main activities and will also involve 60 activities held throughout the year.

The summit will focus on hot international issues – including 17 topics covering sustainable development – in response to the widespread concerns of the international community on climate change, the COVID-19 outbreak and other cutting-edge scientific and technological fields, as well as social issues.

In the runup to the event, a group of young scientists under the age of 45 from home and abroad will gather in Wenzhou.

At the same time, the summit has invited top scientists – such as Nobel Prize laureates – as well as foreign young scientists, representatives of UN organizations and well-known international science and technology organizations, to participate in an online conference. It has also invited representatives of overseas universities and local universities to participate in the online conference.

It is understood that more than 1,370 guests will be invited online and offline, of whom 69 percent will be young scientists and some 15 percent will be foreign guests.
