Three international cultural exchange bases in Wenzhou were recently given provincial level status, according to local media.
Wenzhou now has the highest number of such bases in East China's Zhejiang province.
The three organizations are the Wenzhou Overseas Media Center, Wenzhou Medical University, and the World Wenzhounese Center.
Seventeen other units across the province also received the recognition.
Here is why the three units were listed.
Established in 2018, the Wenzhou Overseas Media Center is run by the Wenzhou municipal publicity department and has six branch bases for international cultural exchanges in Lucheng, Ouhai and Longwan districts, Rui'an city, Wencheng county, and Wenzhou-Kean University.
These bases work to promote the city to more international viewers.
