Ou Sculpture is an intangible cultural heritage item that has been popular in Wenzhou, East China's Zhejiang province for more than 1,000 years.

Ou Sculpture works, which are characterized by rich colors and lifelike patterns, are made using the embossed lacquering method which ensures the works are sturdy, durable, and can be preserved for a long time.

In this video, Jeniffer Tavira, an Angolan singer currently living in Wenzhou, visited Ou Sculpture master Zhou Jinyun and explored the time-honored craft.

"You will understand how amazing the Ou Sculpture is only after seeing the artworks with your own eyes," Tavira said after the visit.
