Wenzhou to resume intl flights

Wenzhou Airport in East China's Zhejiang province will follow a new flight schedule for the season from Oct 30 2022 to March 25, 2023, local media outlets reported.

According to the plan, the airport will offer a total of 2,414 flights per week, an average of 345 flights per day.

By forging closer ties with domestic airlines, Wenzhou is expected to open direct and indirect passenger and cargo flights to 90 domestic cities, including resuming flights to 10 cities such as Xichang, Dazhou, Bazhong, Ezhou, Chizhou, and Korla. The city also plans to open more flights to Beijing, Guangzhou and Guizhou by offering at least 11 flights per day.

In addition, the airport is ratcheting up efforts to open more international flights. China Eastern Airlines is preparing to start opening one shuttle flight per week between Wenzhou and the Italian capital of Rome starting Oct 27. More shuttle flights between Wenzhou and Milan and Jakarta will be laucnhed in the near future to meet the travel needs of tourists and overseas Chinese.
