World Young Scientist Summit helps Wenzhou with innovation

With the World Young Scientist Summit coming to its fourth edition, statistics show that as of September this year, the former editions have helped settle 19 high-end innovation platforms in the city.

A total of 150 industrial projects directed by leading talents have also started operations in Wenzhou.

The growth fund issued by the local government for young scientists, with a capital pool of 10 billion yuan ($1.43 billion), has also invested more than 10 projects in emerging and cutting-edge industries.

Incubators of the summit have also introduced 19 high-caliber talents, including six national experts. The 47 enterprises settled generated a combined revenue of about 300 million yuan in 2021, of which 14 were run by high-level talents. WYSS' subordinate pioneer park was home to 42 leading innovative and entrepreneurial talents, who brought in 401 technology enterprises with a total revenue of 2.6 billion yuan.
