The fourth China (Indonesia) Trade Expo concluded on May 26, with nearly 800 companies from 13 provinces and 40 cities across the country attending the three-day event. Among them, 211 companies from Wenzhou participated, occupying a total of 318 booths.

The exhibition was organized by the Wenzhou municipal people's government with support from the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province.

The event took place in the form of a physical exhibition combined with internet services. The offline exhibition was held at the Jakarta International Expo, which included nine professional exhibitions, namely textiles and apparel, industrial machinery, household appliances, home and giftware, building materials and hardware, power and energy, beauty and haircare, consumer electronics, and automotive and motorcycle parts.

Statistics show that over 50,000 professional visitors attended the event. Several Wenzhou enterprises secured on-site orders, while other participating companies received enthusiastic responses from potential buyers.

Over the years, Indonesia and Wenzhou have maintained close exchanges in economy and trade. In 2022, Wenzhou's imports and exports with Indonesia reached 31 billion yuan ($4.37 billion), a year-on-year increase of 54.7 percent. Specifically, exports amounted to 15.2 billion yuan, an 85.8 percent increase compared to the previous year. The main export products included electrical equipment, automotive parts, and steel products.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Indonesia. As the organizer, Wenzhou hosted the exhibition in Indonesia for the first time, further strengthening the economic ties between the two regions.
