The Wenzhou Overseas Media Center hosted a Chinese and foreign cultural exchange activity revolving around the Dragon Boat Festival on June 20.

The event served as a platform to showcase the intrinsic beauty of traditional Chinese culture, featuring captivating guqin performances, tea ceremonies, and a mesmerizing qipao fashion show. The foreign participants also demonstrated their talent by playing the Chinese zither and reciting ancient poems, creating a delightful fusion of Chinese and foreign cultures.

Nearly 100 distinguished guests were invited to attend, including the anchor of "Hai'Ou Community," foreign friends, representatives of overseas Chinese leaders, and overseas students from Wenzhou University and Wenzhou Medical University.

The activity was skillfully hosted by Percy, the anchor of "Hai'Ou Community." In addition to the splendid artistic performances, special stalls were set up at the venue for guests to experience traditional customs, such as wrapping zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) and making egg bags.

Numerous international participants shared their excitement about the event. Yuki Sato, an agronomist from Japan, said, "This is the first time I've learned about the custom of egg bumping during the Dragon Boat Festival, and it's truly fascinating!"

Fernando from Brazil stated, "I thoroughly enjoyed today's artistic performances, particularly the calligraphy. It was my first time writing my name with a traditional brush. The tea ceremony was also captivating."
