Two cross-border e-commerce industrial parks in Wenzhou selected as exemplary

The Zhejiang province has organized an expert group to conduct evaluations on provincial-level cross-border e-commerce industrial parks based on the principles of openness and fairness. 

A total of 17 industrial parks were designated as supplements to provincial-level cross-border e-commerce industrial parks, including Huiqiao Cross-border E-Commerce Industrial Park and Pingyang Digital Business Industrial Park in Wenzhou.

Huiqiao Cross-border E-Commerce Industrial Park was approved as a "city-level cross-border e-commerce industrial park" and includes seven major functional service areas, such as an international e-commerce public investment center, cross-border industry exhibition area, college-enterprise training platform, public live streaming area, and service management area.

In 2022, the park achieved over 600 million yuan ($84 million) in exports and saw more than 30 companies set up operations, including service-oriented enterprises in the field of storage and logistics, freight agencies, financial support, and legal consultation.

Pingyang Digital Business Industrial Park has attracted a group of cross-border e-commerce companies, with over 50 cross-border e-commerce businesses and 10 e-commerce service-oriented enterprises operating in the park. The development of cross-border e-commerce business is booming, with the total online sales exceeding 700 million yuan in 2022 and over 1 billion yuan since the beginning of 2023, an annual growth rate of over 30 percent. In 2022, the park was honored as the city's e-commerce industry base.
