Wengyang sub-district, located in the southeastern part of Yueqing city in Zhejiang province, is a combination of modern and ancient features that strives for high-quality development.

It enjoys excellent geographical location as a transportation hub in the southeast of Yueqing.

During the Jin Dynasty(265–420), the place was built to reclaim land from the sea. This land was an abandoned seaside area. Later, people with the surname Weng came here to cultivate the land and settle down, thus the name Wengyang was born.

The sub-district boasts beautiful landscapes, with green hills and clear waters complementing each other's beauty. The golden tidal flats are picturesque, and the imposing gates and bridges stand tall.

The place is abundant in seafood, especially renowned for its tidal flat aquaculture and seedling production. The locals have a deep-rooted love for blue crabs. The blue crabs and blood clams from Wengyang are remarkably delicious and savory, thanks to the unique geographical conditions.

The sub-district also offers many other delightful flavors, such as sweet potato yellow sandwiches and Gaoyang wontons.

The sub-district is home to many cultural talents and remarkable individuals. It has nurtured renowned national scholar Nan Huaijin, Chinese Arts and Crafts master Ye Runzhou, and well-known  wood carving master Wang Fengzuo, as well as handicraft master Yu Jinshun.

The sub-district has been solidly advancing the construction of  industrial parks. It strives to enhance vitality and distinct characteristics to promote high-quality development.
