Wenzhou has launched a new cross-department mechanism to help businesses expand overseas, bringing together 15 government agencies to provide one-stop services covering market entry, legal affairs, finance, customs, taxation, intellectual property and immigration.
Led by the Wenzhou municipal bureau of commerce, the initiative aims to streamline support for companies going global by improving coordination, reducing compliance risks, and offering integrated services throughout the entire overseas investment process.
The mechanism also introduces a closed-loop response system that enables businesses to submit requests, track progress, and receive timely feedback, while strengthening overseas risk monitoring, compliance guidance, and emergency response.
At the launch event, four overseas industrial parks from Vietnam, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, and Cambodia signed cooperation agreements with Wenzhou districts to promote outbound investment, trade, and industrial collaboration under the Belt and Road Initiative. An Expert Committee on Foreign Economic and Trade Cooperation was also established to provide professional support for enterprises expanding abroad.
The move builds on Wenzhou's broader efforts to boost international trade, with the city having organized more than 160 trade events involving over 2,000 companies in the first half of 2026, helping secure intended orders worth $1.44 billion.
