Wenzhou's cross-border e-commerce sector has fully resumed operations after the typhoon, achieving the rapid restart of both imports and exports.
On July 13, the first batch of 2,492 cross-border e-commerce retail export parcels passed customs clearance at the Yueqing Bay International Express Customs Supervision Site and were shipped overseas.
Import operations in the Yueqing Bay Comprehensive Bonded Zone had already resumed on July 12, with a truck carrying imported parcels worth 69,000 yuan ($10,179) cleared and dispatched.
During the typhoon, Wenzhou Customs established emergency measures to monitor bonded warehouses, cargo inventories and logistics bottlenecks. After the storm, it quickly optimized inspection and clearance procedures, enabling delayed shipments to be released efficiently and minimizing losses for companies.
The rapid recovery helped maintain supply chain stability for cross-border e-commerce businesses, particularly exporters of daily goods, home products and cultural items. Wenzhou Customs said it will continue improving emergency clearance mechanisms to support smooth international trade and the high-quality development of foreign trade.
