Shengjing Mountain Scenic Area in Ruian county-level city in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, has been newly rated as a national 4A-level tourist attraction, increasing Ruian's collection of national A-rated tourist sites to nine, including two 4A and seven 3A attractions.

Located in Mayu town, Shengjing Mountain is renowned for its four signature landscapes: mountain springs, blooming flowers, a sea of clouds, and lush forests.

A highlight is the Shengjing Stone Temple, a nationally protected cultural site from the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279). An ancient well inside the temple, known for its perennial spring water, is the origin of the name "shengjing (Sacred Well)".

Visitors can immerse themselves in the natural beauty and historical richness of Shengjing Mountain. In spring, the hills are adorned with vibrant azaleas, while early mornings offer breathtaking cloud vistas. The maple forest provides a serene setting to listen to the springs, and the ancient architecture invites exploration.

Tasting the pure water from the ancient well and engaging in activities like creating prayer prints offer a unique experience.

The scenic area is committed to the integration of culture and tourism, hosting events such as intangible cultural heritage performances, music markets, food festivals, art exhibitions, and folk parades.
