Jiaxing firms secure $146 million in deals at Canton Fair

The first phase of the 138th China Import and Export Fair, known as the Canton Fair, concluded on Oct 19 in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, drawing nearly 158,000 overseas buyers from 222 countries and regions.
The trade delegation from Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, demonstrated the city's growing strength in intelligent manufacturing, securing intended deals worth $146 million.
A total of 189 Jiaxing enterprises participated across 296 booths, receiving nearly 30,000 buyers, with orders from Europe and South America showing notable growth. This phase, which spotlighted service robotics, saw Jiaxing-based Zhejiang YAT Electric Appliance impress buyers with its autonomous lawn-mowing robot. Combining precision control and efficiency, the product attracted over 100 buyers from Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, generating intended orders worth $5 million. A Spanish buyer even scheduled a factory visit on-site, underscoring the global reach of Jiaxing's smart manufacturing.
Other Jiaxing exhibitors also achieved solid results. Qinshan Cable Group met with more than 50 effective buyers from Australia and Saudi Arabia, securing an on-site order of $60,000.
At a special matchmaking event on Oct 16, nearly 10 overseas buyers from Malaysia and Thailand engaged with Jiaxing companies, resulting in new deals such as an estimated $800,000 order for Zhejiang Hisakage Refrigeration Equipment. With upcoming phases featuring smart robotics, green appliances, and consumer goods, Jiaxing continues to chart a dynamic course in international trade.
