Zhejiang trade with APEC economies exceeds 2 trillion yuan in first three quarters

East China's Zhejiang province recorded 2.02 trillion yuan (about $277 billion) in total trade with other APEC economies in the first three quarters of 2025, up 3.8 percent year-on-year, according to Hangzhou Customs.

The figure marks the first time the province's trade with APEC partners has surpassed 2 trillion yuan during the January–September period, setting a record high.

Private enterprises remained the main driver, contributing 1.6 trillion yuan in trade, up 4.8 percent and accounting for 78.9 percent of the total.

Exports of mechanical and electrical products continued to dominate, reaching 654.68 billion yuan, an increase of 4 percent and representing 45.6 percent of total exports. Exports of auto parts and of computers and computer components rose by 6.1 percent and 19.3 percent, respectively.

Under strengthened regional trade facilitation measures, Zhejiang's trade with several APEC members saw significant growth.

Trade with Singapore and Brunei surged by 43.3 percent and 78.9 percent, respectively, while exports to Vietnam and Thailand also posted double-digit increases.
