Jiaxing Nanhu Airport begins operations

Jiaxing Nanhu Airport in East China's Zhejiang province commenced operations on Dec 26.
The airport's first routes connect Jiaxing to major cities, including Beijing, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Changchun. In preparation for Spring Festival travel rush, the airport will also launch direct flights to Kunming, Harbin, Chongqing, Xi'an, and Haikou, offering more travel options for residents and facilitating easier hometown visits and travel during the holiday season.
Located in Xiuzhou district, the airport is easily accessible, just a 10-minute drive from downtown Jiaxing. The airport has a streamlined check-in process, including self-service kiosks and expedited baggage screening.
The airport is also collaborating with YTO Express Group to launch 28 international cargo routes and is expected to handle 1.8 million passengers and 1.1 million metric tons of cargo by 2030.
