As the New Year's Day holiday approaches, Jinhua in Zhejiang province is rolling out an array of cultural and tourism activities, including scenic area events, traditional heritage experiences, artistic performances, and museum exhibitions, inviting everyone to join the celebrations.

The 2026 Jinhua New Year Concert will take place at the China Wu Opera Grand Theater in Wucheng district at 7 pm on Dec 30 and 31, where the Jinhua Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, Chorus, and Dance Troupe will present a dynamic fusion of music and dance, offering a unique sensory experience. The theater will also host Wuju Opera performances at 7 pm on Jan 1 and 2.

From Dec 31 to Jan 2, a New Year Market will be held at the "Jinhua Heart" commercial area, where visitors can enjoy Jinhua's specialty foods, purchase exquisite traditional crafts, and participate in heritage arts like paper-cutting and sugar painting.

At Hengdian World Studios in Dongyang, new year's festivities from Dec 31 to Jan 3 will include parades, interactive events, and datiehua (iron fireworks) performances. Meanwhile, Youbu Ancient Town in Lanxi will offer music concerts, opera shows, and tea-boiling activities from Jan 1 to 3.

The Xiuhu Lake Lantern Festival in Yiwu, which began on Dec 20, will also continue to dazzle visitors with its integration of traditional and modern cultural elements until March 18.
