Jiaxing company expands into fast fashion with digital innovation
Mingda Group, based in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, has grown from collaborating with local workshops to becoming a leading supplier of domestic synthetic silk fabrics. The company has introduced advanced digital printing technology, significantly boosting production efficiency.

Initially focusing on headscarves and curtains, Mingda gradually expanded into wedding fabrics and French-style textiles. In 2020, the group capitalized on the fast-fashion trend, shifting to the production of imitation silk fabrics that cater to the younger generation's demand for affordability and style.

Mingda's 38,000-square-meter smart factory is fully embracing digital transformation. The company has introduced an AI vision inspection system, which has significantly boosted efficiency and accuracy.
Mingda's focus is not only on fabric production but also on developing functional materials. They have partnered with Transfar Group to create "scented microcapsule" fabrics that release fragrance through friction and with foreign companies to develop mosquito-repellent fabrics that retain effectiveness after multiple washes.
