Jinhua experiences May Day tourism boom

Jinhua in Zhejiang province saw a surge in cultural and tourism activities during the May Day holiday from May 1 to 5, receiving 5.49 million visits.

Of these, 94 A-level scenic spots received 4.62 million visits, a 25.5 percent increase year-on-year, and five provincial-level resorts hosted 876,000 visits, up 53.7 percent. The top three tourist destinations were Hengdian World Studios in Dongyang, Fotang tourist resort in Yiwu, and Wuzhou Ancient Town in Wucheng district.

Jinhua Mountain scenic area's "Fairy Mountain Walk, Happy May Day" immersive event received 318,500 visits, a 30.43 percent increase from last year, while lion dances, opera performances, and interactive activities in Lanxi's Youbu Ancient Town drew large crowds.

Kite shows and model aircraft performances at Blue Camp in Jindong district drew waves of cheers; Jinli Lake's inaugural RV camping carnival combined fishing, music, and barbecues for all-day enjoyment; and Ziyu Xixili Camp in Pan'an county offered water activities such as crab-catching and bamboo rafting.

Jinhua Museum received over 53,000 visits, and commercial districts embraced trendy activities, with Yiwu Global Digital Trade Center hosting anime and limited-edition collectible events.

The "Wuyue Cup" Zhejiang City Football League was also a holiday hit, as Jinhua hosted Quzhou on May 5, launching various consumer promotions and turning sports fans into city explorers, with a single ticket granting access to numerous attractions.
