A group of Serbian tourists visited Lishui's Qingtian county, known as the hometown of overseas Chinese, during the May Day holiday, touring Taihe Lake and the Qingtian Stone Carving Museum, where they learned about the history and cultural significance of local stone carvings.
These exquisite stone carvings impressed the visitors, who frequently stopped to take photos and praised the craftsmanship. Serbian visitor Nebojsa Terzic said it was his fourth trip to Qingtian and that he loved the carvings, adding that he had brought friends and entrepreneurs to help more people discover this unique cultural charm.
The group also visited the strawberry base in Baipu village and reached preliminary export cooperation intentions for waxberries. The head of Lishui Jitao Ecological Agriculture Development said that inviting global guests enables more people to experience Qingtian's specialty industries and cultural charm firsthand, promoting deeper exchanges between international cultures and industries.
The visit also laid the foundations for introducing Qingtian's waxberries to international markets and broadened channels to attract global visitors. In the first quarter of this year, Qingtian's reception of international guests increased by 29.3 percent year-on-year.
Qingtian will continue to explore its intangible cultural heritage and industry resources, integrate core tourism elements like stone carving and waxberries, create more exchange platforms, and attract more international guests.
