A delegation of more than 20 Italian entrepreneurs visited Nanhu district in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, on May 13 to explore investment opportunities and strengthen industrial cooperation.

The visit was led by Lorenzo Riccardi, chairman of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce. During the trip, the delegation toured Chint Electric and Minth Group, visiting exhibition halls and production workshops to gain insight into advanced manufacturing operations and management systems in Jiaxing.

At a follow-up exchange meeting, Nanhu district officials introduced the local investment environment, highlighting transportation advantages, industrial strengths, scientific innovation resources, and support policies for foreign-invested enterprises. The presentation aimed to help Italian companies gain a broader understanding of development opportunities in the district.

In November 2025, the Jiaxing office of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce was established in Nanhu district, creating a regular platform for business cooperation and exchanges between the two sides. The district has now hosted the "Italian Enterprises Visit Nanhu" exchange event for three consecutive years, promoting discussions on multiple potential investment projects.

The district is currently in talks with Italian companies, including Plastic Systems SpA and Nordmeccanica Group, about potential industrial cooperation projects.
