China's new railway timetable will include a stop at Yiwu in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, from July 1 for the G896/G895 high-speed sleeper train between Shanghai and Hong Kong.

This marks the first time Yiwu will offer a direct high-speed sleeper service to Hong Kong. Tickets have been available since June 17.

The G896/G895 train offers a convenient "evening departure, morning arrival" experience. The updated schedule is as follows:

- G895 runs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. It departs Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station at 8:15 pm, stops at Yiwu from 9:46 pm to 9:48 pm, and arrives at Hong Kong West Kowloon Railway Station at 7:25 am the next day.

- G896 operates on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. It leaves Hong Kong at 8:00 pm, stops at Yiwu from 5:32 am to 5:34 am, and finally reaches Shanghai at 6:58 the following morning.

The full journey takes about 11 hours, allowing passengers to travel overnight comfortably. This addition will significantly enhance business and tourism connectivity between Yiwu and Hong Kong.
