Shangshan Site Museum in Pujiang county, Jinhua, Zhejiang province, has been designated a national patriotic education demonstration base, becoming the first such base in Jinhua.

Located in the Shangshan Archaeological Park, the museum integrates artifact preservation, academic research, exhibitions, and public education. It has received more than 2.1 million visits, helping bring Shangshan culture — a Neolithic culture dating back 11,000 to 8,500 years in central and western Zhejiang's Jinqu Basin — from academic research to broader public awareness.

The museum has developed a multilevel education system centered on Shangshan culture to promote public understanding of the origins of Chinese civilization.

A total of 77 sites across China were included in the latest list of national patriotic education demonstration bases, which serve as platforms for promoting cultural heritage, historical understanding, and public education.
