The 2026 Zhejiang Summer Film Consumption Season opened in Taizhou on July 15 and will run from mid-July through the end of August.

The campaign links moviegoing with tourism, dining, and retail. A total of 25 million yuan ($3.69 million) in movie vouchers will be issued, including 15 million yuan for the summer season.

Users can access discounts through Taopiaopiao, the movies channel in Alipay, and Damai's movie section.

Vouchers are released daily at 10 am from July 16 through Aug 31. Collection and use rules are available on each platform.

For expats in Zhejiang, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland, opens on the Chinese mainland on July 29, with advance tickets already available at cinemas in the province. Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey is scheduled for release on the Chinese mainland on Aug 14.
