The Quzhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, recorded 2.8 billion yuan ($414.94 million) in imports and exports in the first half of this year.
A batch of computer numerical control (CNC) machine tools produced by Zhejiang Yonglida CNC Machine Tool Co was recently shipped to the Philippines from the zone under the supervision of Quzhou Customs. Valued at more than 500,000 yuan, the shipment marked the first export of high-tech products through the zone since it began customs-supervised operations in June 2025.
Zheng Yong, import and export manager of Yonglida, which produces vertical machining centers, CNC lathes, and milling machines, said that equipment entering the zone is eligible for tax rebates, helping the company arrange exports more flexibly based on orders.
Quzhou Customs also provided guidance on new regulations for export declarations for machine tools and related items, helping the company prepare technical documents and ensure compliance.
Since opening, the bonded zone has introduced direct transfers within the zone and streamlined customs procedures. It focuses on industries such as new materials, new energy, high-end equipment, specialty paper, life sciences, and integrated circuits, supporting local companies in expanding their global footprint.
