The 19th CFNA Tree Nuts Conference, a significant annual event in East Asia's nut industry, was hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce of Import and Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce, and Animal By-products (CFNA) from Aug 5 to 8 in Yiwu, a county-level city in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, for the first time since 2008.

This year's event drew over 800 guests from more than 20 countries and regions, along with international associations including the International Nut and Dried Fruit Council (INC) and the Almond Board of California.

Yiwu, home to the world's largest small commodities market, utilizes its strong infrastructure in food distribution, cross-border trade, and cold chain logistics to streamline the chain from global sourcing to Yiwu distribution and national consumption, enhancing its advantages in the nut sector.

Highlights included the INC's release of global nut production and sales data and expert insights into international trade policies. Domestic leaders shared updates on major nut products, while international experts discussed market trends and export opportunities.

The concurrent nut expo included 108 booths, featuring leading domestic and international nut companies, setting new records for scale and international participation.

Participants also toured Yiwu's food markets and cold chain facilities, gaining insights into the local nut distribution and trade ecosystem.
