Three athletes trained by Jiaxing Children's Sports School have been selected to represent China at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, after the Chinese delegation was officially established in Beijing on Sept 4.
The Asian Games will be held from Sept 19 to Oct 4. Jiaxing athletes will compete in canoe sprint, gymnastics, and judo events.
Pinghu canoe sprint athlete Xu Jian won the men's doubles canoe title at this year's Asian Canoe Sprint Championships. Local gymnast Tian Hao, who narrowly missed the previous Asian Games, will make his debut at the continental event this time. Judo athlete Zhang Wen has also achieved strong results in recent years, winning titles at events including the East Asian Championships and national championships.
The three Jiaxing athletes will represent China at the Asian Games and aim to deliver strong performances on the international stage.
