The Zhejiang Province Cultural Industries Promotion Event for Online Novels, Dramas, and Games was held in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, on May 20, ahead of the opening of the 22nd China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair, which runs from May 21 to 25.
During the event, cultural platforms such as the Liangzhu Cultural Corridor introduced new cooperation projects and technological applications. Representatives from the corridor showcased AI-powered smart glasses developed by an enterprise based in Yuhang district for use in museums and digital media sectors.
More than 10 major cultural industry projects were signed, with total investment exceeding 2.6 billion yuan ($382.3 million). Cre8 Direct, a Ningbo-based company, also signed an agreement with the Mount Emei Scenic Area to jointly develop and operate cultural and creative products.
Zhejiang's exhibition area at the industries fair was already showcasing digital installations, cultural technology displays, and new IP products ahead of the fair's opening later that same day. The area was divided into sections dedicated to cultural heritage, digital culture, and cultural consumption.
Separately, Zhoushan introduced a new original brand, "Lucky Cat and Happy Fish," centered on marine culture, along with mixed reality experiences and AI-powered cultural displays.
Companies including Unitree Robotics and Xinhua Zhiyun Technology are presenting new products and applications integrating AI and culture during the fair.
