A small cultural display is making a big impression in overseas warehouses operated by Ningbo-based cross-border e-commerce company Hooya Group.
The company's warehouses in Poland, Germany, and the United States each recently introduced a Ningbo cultural hub, a compact exhibition space showcasing the city's culture. Blending seamlessly into employees' daily routines, the displays offer both staff and visiting business partners a chance to discover the city's heritage while taking a break from work.
The exhibition features a variety of cultural items, including traditional handicraft fans, creative prints inspired by intangible cultural heritage, city guidebooks, scenic postcards, landmark-themed puzzles, and decorative cubes.
Founded in Ningbo, Hooya Group now operates 22 overseas warehouses covering more than 600,000 square meters, with over 500 overseas employees serving markets across Europe and North America. For the company, overseas warehouses are not only logistics hubs but also platforms for cultural exchange.
According to the warehouse manager, the displays have strengthened employees' sense of connection while sparking curiosity about Chinese culture among international colleagues. They have also created unexpected business opportunities. One Polish client, intrigued by a postcard of Ningbo, started a conversation about the port city before a product inspection, helping build rapport and making later business discussions much smoother.
